On 2 July 2025, HSE published its statistics for work-related injuries in Great Britain 2025, covering the period April 2024 to March 2025 (https://www.hse.gov.uk/statistics/assets/docs/fatalinjuries.pdf).
124 workers died in the period 2024/2025, which is consistent with the number of deaths for the previous three years (2021/2022: 123, 2022/2023: 136, and 2023/2024: 138). Construction and agriculture, forestry and fishing industries continue to have the most deaths, accounting for 47% of workplace deaths (35 and 23 respectively).
The most common kind of fatal accident, as with previous years, continues to be falls from a height, accounting for over a quarter of all fatal injuries (35 for the period 2024/25)
