Princes Sporting Club has become the fifth organisation convicted under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 following the death of 11-year-old Mari-Simon Cronje in 11th September 2010. Miss Cronje died when she fell from a 20-foot inflatable boat and was then hit by the speedboat towing it. Princes Sporting Club was fined £134,459 The fine was limited by the company's lack of assets of just £75,000 and liabilities of just over £1,000,000.
