Mobile Sweepers ( Reading) Ltd became the sixth company to be convicted of corporate manslaughter under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 following the death of employee, Malcolm Hinton, on 6th March 2012. Mr Hinton died following an accident whilst working under the unpropped hopper of a sweeper vehicle. The case was heard at Winchester Crown Court on 26th February 2014. The company was fined £8,000.00, £4,000 in costs.
